The NWMPA is the parent booster organization for the Choir, Band and Orchestra programs at Niles West High School.
Our goal is to support these programs though scholarship, fundraising, and volunteerism.
We provide reduced price private music lessons for students with demonstrated financial need, private lessons for students switching to new instruments at the directors’ request, award scholarships for freshman thru seniors in each of the three programs, purchase instruments and equipment, and fund projects outside the scope of the school budget.
Music education has been shown to enhance experiences in ways that reach far beyond the classroom, and instill skills beneficial in all aspects of life. We invite you to join us in supporting music education at Niles West.
All funds raised by the NWMPA support the music programs at Niles West.

Good Luck Seniors!
This is a bittersweet ending as we say good-bye to our 2020 seniors without the pomp and circumstance they deserve. Pasta 'n Pops is our big event to showcase all of our music students and is a fun farewell to our seniors. The NWMPA Board and Committee Chairs wish we could have put our blood, sweat and tears into another Pasta 'n Pops, but circumstances did not allow it.
Please join our Board!
With seniors graduating, that has left 6 position to fill for the 2020-2021 school year! Check out the descriptions here.
There are many reasons become a member:
- NWMPA pays 1/2 price for private lessons to students who qualify
- NWMPA pays full price for private lessons if you change an instrument (instructor approval required)
- NWMPA assists the music program with much-needed funding for trips, equipment, and other items
- NWMPA knows how to throw a party. Stay tuned for details on our annual Pasta 'n Pops concert!
